The agreement between us
Plain-language terms covering consultations, prescriptions, payments and cancellations.
The service
NOVAGP.IE provides private general practice consultations by video and telephone, and GP-reviewed smart prescription requests, to patients located in Ireland. It is not an emergency service and does not replace your regular GP where you have one.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. A parent or legal guardian may book on behalf of a child and must be present for the consultation.
Clinical limitations
Some conditions cannot be assessed safely without a physical examination. Your GP may end a consultation and direct you to in-person care. Controlled drugs and certain other medicines are not prescribed online.
Fees and payment
A GP consultation is €39 and a smart prescription request is €25, taken at the time of booking or submission. Prices include VAT where applicable.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancel more than two hours before your appointment for a full refund. Smart prescription requests declined on clinical grounds are refunded in full. Missed appointments are not refunded.
Your responsibilities
Give accurate information about your history, medications and allergies. Withholding relevant information can make remote care unsafe.
Records and privacy
Consultation notes, prescriptions, certificates and referrals are kept in your medical record and handled as described in our Privacy & GDPR notice.
Complaints
Email admin@novagp.ie and we will acknowledge within two working days. You may also raise concerns with the Irish Medical Council.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
