Talking to a GP from your own home removes a real barrier for many people. Anxiety, panic, burnout, sleep problems and low mood can all be discussed privately, with a clear plan agreed at the end of the consultation.
Appointments 08:00–22:00, 7 days IMC-registered GPs, EU-hosted records

In an emergency call 112 or 999, or contact your local emergency department or out-of-hours GP service.
Anxiety, stress and low mood — questions Irish patients ask
- Is the consultation confidential?
- Yes. Consultations are private and your records are stored encrypted on EU-hosted infrastructure. Nothing is shared with your own GP unless you consent to it.
- Can you prescribe antidepressants online?
- Where clinically appropriate, yes, with a proper assessment and an agreed follow-up plan. Controlled and dependence-forming medicines are not prescribed remotely.
- Can I get a sick cert that does not state the reason?
- Yes. A certificate can confirm you are unfit for work without disclosing the clinical reason unless you ask for it to be included.
