Weight loss treatment follow-up

Follow-up only, for patients already started on a GLP-1 weight-loss injection by NOVAGP.IE. New starts need a €50 video consultation. Reviewed by an Irish-registered GP for €25, usually the same day.

What we'll ask you

31 short questions, most of them yes or no. Your answers go straight to the reviewing GP.

  • Have you already had a weight-loss initial video consultation with NOVAGP.IE and been prescribed a GLP-1 injection?
  • What is your date of birth? (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • Do you smoke?
  • Do you have any medical conditions?
  • Are you allergic to any medication or do you have any allergies?
  • Are you taking any medication? This includes non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines as well as herbal remedies.
  • Have you recently stopped taking any medication?
  • Is there a history of any illness that runs within your family?
  • Do you have any liver or kidney problems?
  • Have you had any heart problems, such as angina (chest pain) or a heart attack?
  • Have you ever had a stroke or 'mini stroke' (TIA)?
  • Have you ever had any major surgery?
  • Which weight-loss injection are you currently on?
  • Exact current dose and how often (e.g. semaglutide 0.5 mg once weekly)
  • How many weeks have you been on this dose?
  • Any side effects on this medicine? Describe them, or type 'none'
  • Have you had any severe side effects — persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, pancreatitis, gallbladder pain, dehydration or fainting?
  • Do you want to change to a different weight-loss medicine?
  • Current weight in kg
  • Height in cm
  • Current BMI (use the calculator on our weight-loss page)
  • Weight in kg when you started treatment
  • Target weight in kg
  • Future dose you are requesting for the next period (e.g. 1.0 mg once weekly)
  • Which weight-loss injection would you like for the next period? (Mounjaro is a dual GLP-1/GIP; Wegovy and Saxenda are GLP-1 only)
  • Do you want to discuss switching between Wegovy, Mounjaro or Saxenda with a doctor?
  • Do you have a current or past eating disorder, or thyroid cancer / MEN2 in the family?
  • Are you pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive?
  • Do you have any of: high fever, severe pain, breathlessness, confusion, or symptoms getting rapidly worse?
  • List any drug allergies (or type 'none')
  • Medicines you currently take (or type 'none')

When we'll say no

These answers stop the request and route you to a consultation instead.

  • New starts must have the €50 initial video consultation before a follow-up prescription.
  • Liver or kidney problems need a GP review before any further GLP-1 supply.
  • A cardiac history needs a GP consultation before further supply.
  • A stroke or TIA history needs a GP consultation before further supply.
  • Severe side effects cannot be managed by questionnaire — please book a €39 GP consultation.
  • A change of medicine requires a €39 GP consultation.
  • Discussing or switching between medicines needs a €39 GP consultation.
  • This needs a consultation before any further supply.
  • Prescribing in pregnancy or while breastfeeding needs a consultation.
  • These symptoms need to be assessed by a doctor directly.
